- Updated August 29, 2023 - 8.00 AM by Admin, ACAwise

After the elimination of the federal individual mandate under the Affordable Care Act by Congress, Connecticut is actively considering healthcare individual mandates.

The implementation of Connecticut’s individual mandates is to encourage health insurance enrollment. When healthy individuals are mandated to have health insurance, it helps them in much needed financial backup at times of medical emergencies.

Employer Responsibility for Connecticut Individual Mandates

Currently, the State of Connecticut has not officially released the requirements for reporting ACA Forms for the tax year 2023. Employers are required to report the individuals health coverage information to Connecticut only if the State mandates.
